The Wilgen socks are all about the three braided cables that run along the front of the foot and the leg, mimicking the braiding which is often done with the branches of willow trees. To give those braids all the attention they deserve, it’s recommended to use a tonal or a subtle speckled yarn.
The socks are knitted toe up with a gusset and heel flap. Cable instructions are both written and charted.
